Hi! I'm Melissa
WATERCOLOR ARTIST, SURFACE PATTERN DESIGNER & CREATIVE MENTOR

My work is inspired by everyday life: the soft rustle of prairie grasses, the chipped edges of vintage books, and the way light dances through the windows. With hands often smudged in paint and feet stained from grass, I create art that feels organic, nostalgic, and deeply rooted in story.
Over the years, I’ve licensed hundreds of patterns across home décor, textiles, wallpaper, apparel and stationery with beloved brands like Loomwell, Ellie & Layne, Milton & Goose, Casely, and Carriage House Printery. From delicate florals to vintage-inspired textures, my designs aim to be keepsakes pieces that evoke memory, comfort, and connection.
But beyond the patterns, my heart beats for the artists behind the art.
As the founder of The Creative Mentorship, I guide surface designers who are overwhelmed, multi-passionate, and unsure of their next step. Through personalized support, feedback, and community, I help artists turn their scattered efforts into clarity growing their skills, and attracting opportunities with confidence.
This work is personal. I’ve been the artist chasing all the things, unsure where to focus. I’ve experienced the messy middle of creative growth, the late nights wondering if I’m doing it “right,” the quiet wins that come from showing up with heart, grit, and consistency.
If you're a brand looking for soulful, ready-to-license artwork or an artist ready to grow with purpose you’re in the right place.
Welcome to a community, where beauty meets strategy and creativity is always invited to take root in new and ordinary ways.
